Pauline’s Fashions taught me how to grow into the person I am today. At this job I was able to discover my passion to become a hairdresser. This job gave me the chance to be exposed to the hair industry before I knew it was even right for me. In Pauline’s I learned many things but one that has helped me through so much as I’ve went through life was working with people. In this job you have to make customer relationships and have tons of communication with our customers which carried over into helping me into my career. What made working here different than any other job is once you join this job you’re not just an employee but become family. Valerie has been so consistent in my life even after working for her and still continues to mentor me. What I loved most working at Pauline’s was all the cute clothes and being able to help put orders in and organize the boutique.

Working for PF is unlike working any other job. It was such a special experience for me because it never felt like a job/work. Valerie took me in and treated me like her own, I always felt supported, loved, and encouraged to be my best. Working there taught me how to think on my feet, push myself outside my comfort zone, and realize I’m more capable than I thought I was. What makes PF different was the relationships that you grow with not only your co-workers but the customers and clients. We had special dinners, and showed up for each other in the big moments in life. If I could tell someone thinking about applying one thing, it would be to come in with an open mind and be ready to grow. Valerie will push you and expect a lot from you, but it comes from a place of genuinely wanting to see you succeed. She always wants the best for the people she loves, and I’m grateful to be part of this family!

What I loved most about working at Pauline’s was the people and the environment. From the beginning, everyone made me feel welcomed and included, and they quickly became more like family than coworkers. I gained so much confidence, learned how to work with customers, take initiative, and handle more responsibility. I’m especially grateful for everything Valerie and the rest of the team taught me, including skills that will help me as I pursue cosmetology. Pauline’s is such a special place because everyone genuinely cares about each other and wants to see you succeed. Leaving for college was definitely bittersweet, and I’ll always be grateful for the experience, the people, and everything I learned there.

What I loved most about working at Pauline’s was the relationships I built with both our customers and my coworkers. It truly felt like a family, and that atmosphere is what made Pauline’s so different from anywhere else I’ve worked.

During my time there, I learned so much about the behind-the-scenes side of retail—from creating and managing the website to tagging inventory and learning how to pair different pieces together to complement every woman’s personal style and body type. Pauline’s also taught me the value of a strong work ethic—showing up, working hard, taking pride in what you do, and always being willing to step in wherever you’re needed. Those are lessons that have stayed with me long after my time there.

Working at Pauline’s left a lasting impression on me that I’ll always carry with me. The friendships I made became so much more than just work friendships, and they are relationships I will value and cherish forever. I’m so grateful for the women I had the opportunity to work alongside and everything they taught me along the way.
